Preparation

Due to the high volume of engines we rebuild we cannot process engine accessories, the following should be removed before bringing us an engine to rebuild.

Remove

  • Alternator
  • Starter Motor
  • AC Compressor
  • Power Steering Pump
  • Engine Mounts
  • Clutch
  • Flywheel (Don't forget to mark position for your reassembly)
  • Carburetor (Gas)
  • Injection Pump (Diesel)
  • Exhaust Manifold
  • Turbo
  • Distributor
  • Coil

The following it is advisable to leave on the engine

Leave On

  • Oil Pan
  • Valve Covers
  • Timing Cover
  • Intake Manifold
  • Oil Filter (If you require diagnostics)

Fluids

Please drain all Coolant, Oil & Fuel.

Transportation

A Pallet or Strong Engine Stand is the easiest for us to unload with the fork truck, supplying the engine on your own engine stand can speed up the rebuild process as we don't have to wait for one of our build stands to free up.

Your own Engine Stand is also an ideal way to collect the finished engine as they keep the weight off your new oil pan gaskets.

Disassembled Engines

A lot of our measurements & diagnostic readings are taken during disassembly process If the engine has already been dissembled there is an additional $255 charge because of the additional time required to reassemble those parts for measurement & the far more time consuming process of reassembling an engine we didn’t strip.
